Northern Ireland 2007 - Total Injuries

The total number of persons injured by fireworks during the 2007 reporting period was 97 (Table below). This is an increase of 28 (41%) from the 2006 figure (69). There was an increase in both the number of males and females injured.

There has been an upward trend in number of injuries between 2003 and 2007 (Table above). The number of injuries in 2007 was, however 30% down on the number in 1999, 139; the highest ever recorded number of injuries.
