Northern Ireland 2011 - what happened at hospital?
During the 2011 Halloween period, more than a quarter (7) of persons attending emergency care departments as a result of a firework related injury required no further treatment, 24.0% (6) were referred to their GP, 20.0% (5) were transferred to another hospital and 12.0% (3) were asked to revisit the emergency care department. A further person injured from a firework was referred to a minor injuries unit during the 2011 Halloween period.
